RCMC Registration – Apply Online for Export Authorization with Mequintrax

RCMC (Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate) is a mandatory document for businesses dealing in the export or import of restricted products, as governed by India’s Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). Issued by designated Export Promotion Councils (EPCs), Commodity Boards, or Export Development Authorities, this certificate serves as both proof of exporter registration and a license for availing FTP-linked benefits.

At Mequintrax, we specialize in simplifying the entire RCMC registration process online, helping you get registered with the appropriate council based on your product line. Whether you’re an exporter of textiles, engineering goods, agri-products, or handicrafts, our experts handle documentation, liaison with authorities, and follow-ups to ensure seamless approval.

What is an RCMC Certificate? – Meaning & Importance for Exporters

RCMC, or Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate, is a vital export authorization document required by businesses engaged in the import and export of notified or restricted goods under India's Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). Issued by a designated Export Promotion Council (EPC), Commodity Board, or Export Development Authority, this certificate formally registers an exporter with the relevant government-recognized authority for their specific product category.

In simpler terms, the RCMC certificate acts as proof that the exporter is a legitimate member of an authorized body—empowering them to avail government incentives, export-related benefits, and exclusive trade opportunities.

Whether you're dealing in agricultural commodities, engineering products, chemicals, textiles, or pharmaceuticals, having a valid RCMC is mandatory for DGFT-compliant export operations in India.

Why is RCMC Registration Important?

RCMC Registration (Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate) is a mandatory requirement for businesses involved in the export or import of restricted or notified products under India's Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). This registration plays a crucial role in establishing your business as a recognized and compliant exporter or importer.

Here’s why obtaining RCMC Registration online is essential:

1. Legal Authorization for Restricted Trade

RCMC registration grants official permission to import or export restricted goods, as defined in the FTP. Without it, conducting trade in such items could lead to compliance violations and penalties.

2. Proof of Membership with Export Promotion Councils (EPCs)

It serves as proof of registration with an Export Promotion Council, Commodity Board, or Export Development Authority, aligning your business with recognized trade bodies and enhancing your export credibility.

3. Access to Government Export Incentives

Registered exporters with RCMC can access exclusive export benefits, financial subsidies, and incentives offered under various FTP schemes—including MEIS, SEIS, RoDTEP, and others.

In summary: RCMC registration isn’t just a formality; it’s a strategic step to unlock global trade opportunities, claim government incentives, and ensure compliance under the DGFT guidelines.
